Scottish Wedding Saying Best Man At A Scottish Wedding - What Should I Wear Under My Kilt?

Best man at a Scottish wedding - what should I wear under my kilt? - scottish wedding saying

My friend's house later this year, and I will be best man. The only thing that is a Scottish wedding, so I have to wear a skirt! Kilt is naturally well with the officers and (apparently) is for the majority of the children. This is a big traditional wedding, a band and ceilidh dance in Scotland and the rest, I think I will see at least the game ...

The big question is, do I have to go without underwear under my skirt? The friend says he will go "true Scotsman", and many others, and tries to convince me to continue the tradition, but I am very nervous because of the bears kilt, and even less is naked under it!;) (In particular Given the amount of alcohol is likely to be traveling at the reception!)

So you think I should go there? Or is it better to store the safe side and all the trouble?

Hello, I'm Scottish and I was the sponsor of a Scottish kilt wedding last summer, so I hopefully give you some advice that can remotely decent!

Rule of thumb is, if you're young, ISH, Scottish, and wear a skirt, the skirt on command. No ifs, no buts (well, except that * ass!) Nothing else, and let down your country! ;) Naked under the kilt part of the tradition - that's is why, if not, you're not a "true Scotsman", and are likely to have urine that you begin your friends if they know!

By the sounds of it, however, may not Scottish. If not, then there is usually no obligation, command, and people are ok with it if you do not. But under the circumstances, things a little differently than normal ... You're the best man for your friend, if you type "representative" of the wedding are to him - it's almost a part of his family during the day, not least that you can use your tartan! For this reason "I would say that you dress for special duties, but he wishes. If it fits like a true Scot under his coat, then I think it is your duty to support and honor as a Scot. I am sure you would appreciate it if you can do. (In fact, you have certain rights as the best man to ensure that the groom back in front to stay and some fighters at the last moment, as my colleague has tried to do, I was very happy after the "S" persuaded him from marrying again, and a true Scot!)

Jax2205 is a kind of law says that you have reason to have to be nervous, if at all. The truth is (I will not conceal, as something to be prepared!) In a kilt at a wedding where the beer flows will probably try a few girls to see him look at whether one "right" or not, or even be shown to others. And as the best man, you probably (the most important goal of the night, the bridegroom is with usually off limits) for obvious reasons. Be careful, girls swinging cameras in particular, I discovered my money! You should only with all the inevitable lot of attention as a compliment - they are on training as a user of the Rock in Scotland, that this kind of waiting for the game and not much resistance or complaint.

Scottish ceilidh dance in skirts flying in general anyway (not warned by the strip of pasture are, in particular), so one way or another, some people are probably aware, like it or not be ordered! Remember, in Scotland, no longer ashamed that they are under her skirt so naked around.

Frankly, the best way to relax and ready to run things. The key is to enjoy. Take a decent drink, dance and be happy. Wearing a skirt is great when you know it, and it is much better when "true" (though it still feels strange at first out of her dress, but totally unprotected with pieces below!)

(Oh, andWatch how you sit on your lap - it's a bit of an art if you do not accidentally want to look up to people, so you can be a bit of practice ... ;)

Above all, enjoy -!

My family is very Irish, so my husband decided to wear a kilt for our wedding. Maybe the Irish are the Scots different, but our people were all boxers underneath. We have had many children present, and it was a windy day, it would be no risks!

Do what you do best. Nobody knows what you, if this would be your rock, and if that happens, it better if I use in underwear, I think, too!

Skip true Scotsman. "Everyone knows who I had a Scottish wedding was at the wheel. It's the way it should go, and you get to use, especially after the alcohol starts to flow to.

If you must bear a true Scot like me are not, then.
But if the Scots will probably take something like underwear ...
Do not worry, the bag can hide your package "when you see someone hot to the wedding.
To make sure the wind ... Haha.

Pure preferred. Some go with, some without saying, but never what you use, and it was like the Rock. An account will be much drinking and dancing, some are bound to go on the page.

Most men wear boxers know Scotland, in their skirts. It seems that marriage is the theme of Scotland in Scotland itself, since their wedding in a Scottish clan tartan wear well, or if you are not a member of a clan, a costume!
